Reviews for Tulip

Review #72 . This book was rated 4 Stars by this reviewer
An enjoyable Texas style treat!

Review:

What I liked:

The key character is amazingly 'screwed up' and rather shocking at times, but she is three dimensional and very likable, despite her mistakes and flaws. The town characters are quite memorable as well.
Areas that could be improved: While the storyline moved nicely, it did seem to jump from one disaster to another in rapid succession. Honestly, there were probably two good (and different books) in this book, had it been flushed out more. It seems a waste to put all these story lines into a single book.

The strangest story set in a very strange backwaters Texas town.

Review:

What I liked:

This story offers humor, wit, absurdity, some really sexy scenes, a mystery, a near death thriller scene and a love story (of sorts). It kept me very entertained and constantly took me other than where I expected.
Areas that could be improved: Sometimes the turns in the story were not only unexpected but not well supported. The most glaring example is when Vinnie turns on the protagonist. How can a guy declared 'til death' love in one chapter and want nothing to do with her in the next. All right...it may happen in real life, but the reader will be happier with a little more justification for his change of heart.

Sultry hot novel with a bit of humor.

Review:

What I liked:

What I liked about the book: The story begins a ridiculous court ruling which the characters even acknowledge as absurd, but it is just the first of many proofs that the town of Tulip is determined to protect and love its newest citizen. The characters are great, the heroine's misinterpretations of the Texas twang very funny and the action...well she goes through three guys before finding the right one.
Areas that could be improved: Areas which could be improved: I had trouble with Vince's hot/cold attitude. First he loves her and then bam! He wants nothing more to do with her. I needed better motivational support for that.

A sultry story with humor and action, plus a very satisfying ending.

Review:

What I liked:

I liked the fact that the heroine did not have it all together through much of the book, but by the end, with the town's help, she does get it together and gets her priorities straightened out.
Areas that could be improved: I found Vince's change of heart too sudden. I think that part needs to be reconsidered. Perhpas if he had not proclaimed his love so certain in the prior chapter...
Review #55 . This book was rated 3 Stars by this reviewer
Starts off funny, goes to life endangering, on to sultry and ends romantically. It's got it all!

Review:

What I liked:

I truly enjoyed this book. The characters are well defined and very diverse. The protagonist is so screwed up and flawed, yet still endearing. The sultry parts were VERY sulty and well done. The ending was very satisfying.
Areas that could be improved: I was rather stunned by her behavior with her co-worker. It put a major dent in her already flawed existence. Perhaps you might want to tone that down a bit....
